Acuma lead a combined customer and
Acuma team of information and airline industry specialists
in a high-level programme of business interviews and
analysis. The objective was to create a relevant MI
strategy and roadmap for each of three key areas of
the business: the customer touch-points, the flying
operation, and the corporate functions. This included
determining those areas where the most tactical business
value could be delivered from available information;
how the objectives of the company (in terms of growth,
profit, innovation, people and service) could be best
supported by information; identification of information,
process and organisational gaps; strategy formulation
and roadmap definition.
The output of these activities included
a strategic MI vision (0 to 3 years) aligned directly
to supporting the company’s objectives, key action
areas and performance targets.
In addition to a strategy, Acuma
produced a prioritised, cost-justified programme of
information management development activities aimed
directly at supporting the short-term business goals,
and delivering quick wins.
