Acuma proposed and undertook a project
to address performance and functionality issues being
experienced with the customer’s corporate customer
bill analysis extranet service. This resulted in a project
which exceeded all of its performance KPI’s and
a service which met customer requirements today and
could act as an acceptable platform for the future,
buying time for strategic review of the service and
retaining highly valuable customers, potentially at
risk of churn.
After an initial period of
benchmarking the production environment to identify
the areas of focus and agree the KPI’s for the
project, Acuma built a test environment and through
an iterative approach went on to make improvements to
all aspects of the service from the presentation layer
(Business Objects and JSP), report production (Business
Objects), Data Mart and Data Warehouse (Oracle) and
ETL (Data Stage) using Mercury Interactive Test Tools
and technical development skills in each of the technologies.
Once in production, Acuma were able to demonstrate like
for like performance improvements for each of the business
activities determined in the KPI’s.
