acusend™ comprises of a number of components, which combine to create a powerful and scalable information management and distribution engine. The key components are:

Distribution Engine - sits at the heart of the acusend™ solution, enabling the system to handle multiple data sources (inputs) and automatically convert these for distribution (output) via different delivery channels. For example, the Engine can automate the conversion of a mainframe PCL report to Portable Document Format (PDF) for delivery via the Web. acusend™ 'Plug-Ins' provide support for different input and output formats, ranging from office productivity tools to business intelligence applications. These 'Plug-Ins' can be distributed and replicated across several servers to create an effective load balanced implementation.

acusend™ Build - generates and distributes information via schedules. acusend™ Build contains sophisticated schedule algorithms that ensure optimised performance, minimising the database load associated with refreshing multiple business intelligence reports. Schedules can also be triggered to initiate information flows when certain conditions are met.

acusend™ Portal - dynamically provides personalised content for individual users. acusend™ Portal is designed to be used in both stand alone and integrated enterprise information portals to allow users to perform self-service information management, re-query, search and subscription.

Management Console - controls every aspect of information delivery including the choice of report format and content filtering options via a graphical interface. The Management Console provides a quick and easy way to match information to users. The categorisation of users and reports within groups ensures that information can be efficiently selected and appropriately targeted. The Console also controls the selection and distribution of subsets of reports to users.

Operator Console - complements the Management Console by providing remote operator control via a browser-based Console, through which individual report schedules can be managed. The Operator Console provides central management control of acusend™ distribution tasks - including schedule control, retry and recovery, audit trails and performance monitoring.
