Existing legacy print stream output, from many sources including IBM and UNIX systems, can be processed by the acusend™ Print Stream plug-in.

This Print Stream processor examines the print stream text for the appropriate sectioning information, and first bursts to the appropriate people / destination parties, then appropriately reformats and repurposes as required for that destination.

Print Stream output may be reformatted for distribution as Acrobat Reader (PDF), Web viewing (HTML), Microsoft Word documents, RTF or plain text. It may also be printed to appropriate local printing facilities, stored to personalised file systems or archiving, faxed or emailed.

The Print Stream processor has also been used as a simple, but extremely effective method of reformatting and distributing text output from ERP systems such as SAP.
